Congratulations to Caitlin and Josh! They were married on May 16 at St. Mary in Berea.
Before I get to the wedding, I want to say that I have had a great time all winter and spring photographing a variety of things from Bar/Bat Mitzvahs and First Communions to products, babys and political events. But I have been itching for wedding season for months. It has finally arrived, and I couldn’t ask for a better couple to kick it off with than Catlin and Josh.
Catlin and Josh are both wonderful people and dedicated to serving others, but in very different ways. Caitlin is a “baby catcher” (nurse) as the priest calls her, and Josh is in the Army Reserves. He wore his dress blues, but Caitlin chose not to wear scrubs.
Rain was a concern. It’s not a big deal if you know for sure it’s going to come down. But when it’s iffy, it’s hard to decide if you should chance it or seek shelter from the get-go. We chanced it, and I ‘m glad we did. Caitlin had mentioned at the rehearsal that everything was going to be OK because she had a “talk with God” about the weather. I have to admit, I was a “Doubting Thomas” for a few minutes, but I should have known better . It rained on the way to our photo spot in Olmsted Falls, and it rained as soon as we finished. But there was hardly a drop while we were taking pictures. The timing couldn’t have been better.
I was looking forward to this wedding ever since the engagement session last fall because working with Caitlin and Josh was so much fun. The bridal party was a lot of fun too. I truly enjoyed capturing the memories of Caitlin and Josh’s wedding day.
