Tiffany and Marc

Tiffany and Marc live in Canada, but were in Cleveland for a few days, so we thought it was a good time to do the engagement session. They wanted to do something with an urban/industrial feel to it, so we met near the old cold storage building on Abby Ave. We shot in that area for a while, then went to Voinovich Park for some photos by the lake.

Tiffany and Marc are really nice and fun. Between shooting we always had something to chat about. I had a great time with them. I’m really looking forward to their wedding this fall.

Rebecca and Gary

Lake Erie can be a great place to take engagement photos. I met up with Rebecca and Gary at West Beach in Lorain. When I got there the wind was blowing so hard that I could see walls of sand moving across the beach. But we waited it out for a few minutes, and ended up with a beautiful sunset. The park also has a cool fountain with colored lights that illuminate pillars of water. It resembles a volcanic eruption.

We had a great time on the beach. I’m looking forward to Rebecca and Gary’s wedding later this summer.

Jackie and Richard

I had a blast with Jackie and Rich in downtown Chagrin Falls. Our shoot drew a lot of attention. Several people asked if we were shooting an ad or a model shoot. One lady even asked if she can be in a photo. The lady working is Stash Style was nice enough to let us shoot inside for a few minutes. After the shoot we got some dinner and got to know each other a lot better. It was a great evening.

Kyle and David

I hooked up with Kyle and David by Mall C. We took some shots there before jumping over to E 4th St. We shot there for a while and then went into the Foundation Room of the House of Blues. Kyle and David had the unique idea of using engagement photos for their seating arrangements. So every few shots they would hold a number that represented a table.

I had a great evening with Kyle and David. They were a lot of fun to shoot and we shot in some really cool places.

Cassandra and Ben

I had a great time with Cassandra and Ben in downtown Kent. We bounced around from place to place looking for fun spots to shoot, which Kent has a lot of. Here’s a few of my favorite shots.

Jessica and Doug

I met Jessica and Doug at Edgewater Park for their engagement session. It’s a special place because it’s where Doug proposed.

After Edgewater we went downtown to the theater district. Jessica and Doug are both actors, so shooting in front of the theaters made perfect sense. Working with actors so much fun. It’s like working with professional models. They know exactly what to do and aren’t afraid to try anything. As we were shooting, the rain started coming down. Not hard, but just enough to wet the streets. Wet streets look great in photos and movies, especially at night.

After shooting ouside for a while, we went into Bricco for some shots. After shooting, we hung out and chatted about a lot of things, including movies. I had a great time.

Jamie and Zak

I had a great time with Jamie and Zak downtown while shooting their engagement session. We met at the Marriott and bounced around the mall and lake front. Jamie and Zak were really easy-going. They did a lot of joking and laughing and their playful manner comes through well in the photos. I’m looking forward to their wedding later this summer.

Stacy and Troy

Last week I had the pleasure of traveling to Chicago to shoot an engagement session for Stacy and Troy. Their wedding will be in Cleveland, but they live in Chicago and love the city, so it was important to them to have downtown Chicago as part of their shoot.

We traveled around several different parts of the city. Chicago has a ton to offer in terms of cool shooting locations.

Stacy and Troy were a blast to work with. We had a great time shooting in different areas and jumping in cabs to get to the next spot. It was a pretty exciting day.

My friend Randy documented the shoot for a promotional video I hope to have finished by the end of the summer. It was fun to have good company on the way to and from Chicago. Here’s a few shots. Oh, and we just happen to be there the day after the Blackhawks won the Stanley Cup, which was pretty cool. The city was still recovering from the long night of partying.

Jennifer and Jeremy

The rain held off just long enough to finish up Jennifer and Jeremy’s engagement session. We met at Whipp’s Ledges in Richfield.

We did a lot of walking and climbing. Jennifer and Jeremy were more than up to it. They’re a really nice and fun couple and I’m looking forward to their wedding in August.

Robin and Eric

I love when couples have creative ideas for their engagement session. Especially when the location is significant to them. Robin and Eric used to spend a lot of time skating together, so they had the idea to do the shoot at PLA-MOR skating rink. Warren was nice enough to let us have the rink to ourselves. Although it had been a while since Robin and Eric wore skates, they were flying around the rink with no problem.

Robin and Eric were totally playful and having a genuinely good time together, which made my job pretty easy. They bounced around the rink, played video games, and shot some hoops. It was a lot of fun.

Good luck to Robin and Eric on their wedding in the Dominican Republic. I’m sure it will be beautiful.
