Jackie and Kevin were married on July 11 at Deluca’s Place in the Park in Lorain. Pro Disc DJ Entertainment provided the tunes.
I went to high school with Jackie and remember her being a laid-back girl who was always smiling. When a mutual friend told me she was getting married and that she referred me, I was hoping Jackie would give me a call. A short time later I met with her and Kevin to discuss their wedding plans. Before I knew it, July 11 was here.
Our plans were to take photos before the ceremony at Hunting Beach and down town. It appeared that the weather people bought a new Magic Eight Ball (preferred equipment of meteorologists) because the forecast called for thunderstorms, and it looked like it was actually going to happen. Jackie and I were discussing if we should chance the beach. I was happy to hear her say she wanted to go for it. I love when the B&G are adventurous – it always pays off. On the way to the Hunting Reservation, rain started coming down in buckets, along with lightning and thunder. Pete and I got there early and set up a shot for inside the pavilion. We were talking about all sorts of different shots we wanted to do in the rain with the group holding umbrellas, but by the time the limos arrived, the sun was out and the sky was blue. Even Lake Erie was really blue, which I’ve never seen before. The rest of the day was perfect!
Despite the threatening weather, Jackie and Kevin never let it bother them. They were all smiles all day, and such a pleasure to work with and photograph.

Gotta get one one with Diesel!

Jackie is a librarian, so the the Cleveland Public Library seems like a great place to take some photos.

This photo will have a permanent home on my website.

Caught the bouquet. Guess who’s next!

We decided to have a little fun with the sparklers. It took a a bunch of tries to make a complete heart in the little bit of time allotted in my exposure, which was just under one second. But it was well worth the effort. Good team work, guys.

Congratulations Jackie and Kevin!
