First thing’s first. I want to thank Maria for helping me out on Saturday. She had the role of “voice activated light stand,” and did the job well. She also dragged around my reflector, Fong dong and various other pieces of equipment. Thanks Maria!
Second thing’s second. I worked with some great professionals this weekend. Tony Ezzo of Pixer Productions did a awesome job of coordinating with everyone. This is very important because there is no room for competition at a wedding. Real professionals know how to work together so eveyone gets what they need. As a result, Jessica and Ed are going to get an incredible video and photos without compromise from anyone.
The DJ Crew not only kept the dance floor jammin all night, but communicated everything they were going to do with Tony and I. We didn’t miss a thing. This type of coopertation is critical and very much appreciated. It was smooth sailing.
Now for the wedding. Jessica and Ed were married on May 30. They had a beautiful wedding and reception at LaMalfa Party Center in Mentor.
I have been looking forward to shooting this wedding since our engagement session last year. We really got some awesome images out of it. Jessica and Ed are naturals in front of the camera - playful, romantic, creative and theatrical. I thought it would be tough to top the e-session, but that was before I met their supporting cast. More on that to follow.
I was really fortunate to have some time to spend shooting Jessica before things got really busy. I knew we’d get some stunners if we had the time. She got ready at her parents’ beautiful home. They live on a golf course, so it was a great backdrop for photos. We didn’t have to spend any time traveling, which translates to more “say cheese.”

Here’s one half of the supporting cast I was talking about.

Here’s the other half.

The bridal party was so much fun to work with. Everybody was on the same page and knew just what to do.

The ceremony was in a beautiful chapel at LaMalfa. There was even a little comedy during the vows.

Look out Sopranos!

Ed and his guys had a little surprise for everyone. They performed a choreographed dance to Thriller. It was damn good too. This really energized the guests. The dance floor was packed the rest of the night.

Congratulations Jessica and Ed! I wish you all the best.
