Dawn and Scott were married on September 5 at Massimo da Milano in Cleveland.
What a great couple to work with! They had such a “go with the flow” attitude and never stressed out about anything on the wedding day. I really enjoyed my time with them.
Instead of doing the traditional engagement session, Dawn and Scott opted to to do a pre-wedding shoot in their wedding-day attire. This was a great use of their e-session time because it allowed us to bounce around a bit without time restraints. You can see the images from that session in the blog post below.
Dawn and Scott’s wedding really reflected their individual personalities. My interpretation of their philosophy on their wedding is: just make it official and CELEBRATE! They decided to forgo all the formalities of the reception and keep things as simple and stress free as possible.
But even without the formal aspects of the reception, they did still have a theme…Robots. Instead of having bouquets and boutonnieres, they wore pins made of several little gears. They had robot center pieces and a robot cake. And in keeping with the metallic theme, it was only appropriate that Scott’s scrapmetal band, Schnauzer jamed a few songs just to make sure that everyone was wide awake.
When Schnauzer wasn’t rocking, Don “Action” Jackson of Magic 105.7 provided the musical entertainment. He really found the sweet spot when he started playing dance tunes from the early 90s. The crowd was diggin it. It was like listening to him on Jammin’ 92 again. I really had a great time working with Don.
I want to thank Pete again for assisting and second shooting with me. For every wedding we shoot together, I take away a ton of outstanding images with his unique perspective.
Here are some of the images from Dawn and Scott’s wedding.
The next two are Pete’s.
