Josie and Tom

Josie and Tom were married at Christ the Key Chapel in Notre Dame College. The reception was at the Cleveland Marriott Downtown at Key Center.

Josie and Tom are from out of town, but I was lucky enough to have a chance to meet them for lunch a couple days before the wedding to go over some details and get to know them a little better. I asked Josie about her dress and she told me her mother made it. I knew the “getting ready” photos would have a lot of significance and I was excited about the opportunities. After Josie was buttoned up and ready to go, she was given a gift from Tom. I love these surprise moments because anything can happen.

After the beautiful ceremony, we went downtown to take photos near the Marriott. By the time we got there the rain was coming down pretty good. We had a few umbrellas and everyone was OK with getting a little wet. It’s great to work with a bridal party that makes the most of the situation, even when it’s raining.

The Key Center is a really nice venue for a reception. It has a great view of the city and is close to some of the best locations for photos. Everyone really enjoyed themselves. Jeremy Jay R Rich of Selective Sound played awesome music and kept people dancing until the very last song. He also kept me in the loop of everything that was going on. I appreciate that kind of professional service.

I had so much fun documenting Josie and Tom’s wedding and I’m really thankful they chose me as their photographer.

Marie Bassett - What amazing pictures Justin! You did a FABULOUS job. I need to get Melanie, Todd, Carrie, Chris, Cameron, Ross and Me for a Family Photo shoot. It’s difficult with Melanie living out of town. Dealing with weather and “time”. I would love to hire you for a family “shoot” if Melanie will co-operate!
