Rita and Bobby

Basil and I shot preparation photos at Landerhaven. That’s also where Rita and Bobby had their first look. From there, we went to the Cultural Gardens for group shots and portraits. We concentrated on the Italian and Grecian Gardens. It was a perfect day for outdoor photos. Rita and Bobby were very natural at posing and were having a lot of fun with the process. We had an engagement session several months earlier, which I’m sure helped.

Rita and Bobby were married at B’nai Jeshurun. We did some formal shots before and after the ceremony. The reception was at Landerhaven. They always do an exceptional job. Kim Singerman of Noteworthy Events was the wedding coordinator. She made sure that everything was just perfect and that schedules stayed on track. It was fantastic to work with her.

The reception was an amazing celebration. The Element, which is one of Clevelands best bands, had everyone going early. People were dancing before the dance floor was even open. Once the Horah began, there were so many people on the dance floor that it was almost impossible to move around. Not because the dance floor is small, but because everyone participated. Most of the time during these traditional dances, I try to move close to the center with a wide angle lens. In this case, I had to climb on the stage and shoot with a telephoto. That ended up being a great way to go because I had an awesome vantage point and was able to snap some really great shots.

Thee were several emotional (and funny) speeches. Bobby showed a lot of emotion throughout the day, especially during the toasts. After dinner, the partying picked up right where it left off. It was an amazing night.
