Stacia and Anthony were married on May 29 at St. Maron’s Church in Cleveland. St. Maron’s is a Maronite Catholic church, which has it’s roots in Lebanon. While the church is Catholic, the wedding ceremony is slightly different than what I’m used to, making the use of crowns for the bride and groom, similar to Greek Orthodox ceremonies. I mention this because I really enjoy seeing and photographing how different cultures celebrate weddings. This was my first Maronite wedding, so I was excited to document it.
Stacia and Anthony are wonderful people and were a lot of fun to be around. Their bridal party and families were a lot of fun as well. The reception was at the Bertram Inn in Aurora. The dancing and music was awesome. There was a great mixture of American dance music and Lebonese music. Stacia and Anthony were hoist up on chairs while the guests dances around them. It was such an exciting moment. It’s quite possible that the dance floor was as packed as I’ve ever seen one. It was a great celebration.
