FAQ

  • What is your wedding style?

My style is a combination of photojournalism and creative posing. For the majority of the day I am simply documenting moments. But when it is time for wedding party and couple’s photos, I am giving direction on posing.

  • How long have you been a photographer?

I began photographing weddings and portraits in 2007. I became a full-time photographer in 2009 and have been doing it ever since. I have photographed hundreds of weddings.

  • What is included in wedding packages?

Every wedding package includes editing and an online gallery with downloadable hi-resolution images.

  • Can we print our downloaded images?

Yes. You can print the downloads at the printer of your choice, or you can print through the online gallery. I use a professional lab in California for my printing.

  • How many photos do we receive?

There is no limit to the number of photos in a gallery. I will exclude duplicates, test shots, bad expressions, etc. Everything else will get edited. It usually works out to around 100 images per hour of working. This is an estimate. That number may vary depending on driving time between locations, the the length of a ceremony, if there’s a second shooter, etc.

  • What kind of editing do you do?

All photos are edited for color correction, contrast, exposure and cropped if need be. Images that get printed, are used in an album or are used on social media will usually receive additional touch-ups.

  • What is the turn-around-time for photos?

The contract states you will have your photos within six weeks of the wedding. However, it usually doesn’t take more than four. October and November weddings may take the full six weeks.

  • How far will you travel for a wedding?

I have traveled as far as India to photograph a wedding. Basically, I’ll go anywhere. However, there is a travel fee of $100 for weddings over 50 miles and $200 and hotel accommodations for weddings between 100-200 miles. For destination weddings, the couple will provide airfare and two nights of hotel accommodations.

  • How many locations will you travel to?

I don’t have a limit to the number of photo locations. However, I do advise that couples fine one or two locations that provide a variety of photo options. The more we drive, the less we shoot.

  • Do I need a second photographer?

I recommend a second photographer for weddings with more than 250 guests, or if you need photos taken at two different locations at the same time.

  • What is your payment schedule?

To book a wedding date, I require one third of the package price when the contract is signed. The second third is due at a halfway point between the booking date and the wedding. The final payment is due 14 days before the wedding.

  • What kind of equipment do you use?

I Use Nikon mirrorless cameras and professional-grade lenses. I also use a variety of lighting equipment. Lighting is an important part of my style. I also have backup equipment should something brake of fail.
